We don’t just recycle, we re-imagine.
Barnworks creates home decor items made from reclaimed wood. They also make one-of-a-kind wall decor using glow-in-the-dark resin and textured inserts.
“I started my business to use the weathered barn boards from my old horse barn. We built it in 1977 from locally milledrough cut lumber, the horses have been gone for a long time and the barn is falling in. I couldn't just let that happen so I began pulling off boards, removing nails and debris and taught myself how to make picture frames. I use my own local photos in them. Over the years I branched out to clocks, sconces, coat racks and many whimsical shelf sitters. I had a set of mahogany bed rails from my grandmother's bed, over a 100 years old and I made a wine box. I was gifted a cedar log and had it milled and have made a chessboard. I take unwanted dining tables of cherry and oak and make cutting boards, spatulas, and other items. I also make wall art using glow in the dark resin in wood frames. Most of my items are one of a kind.”
